MOST Award Honors Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓÆµ Instructor’s Impact on Science Education
Representatives from Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓÆµ and the college’s geology department joined West Texas Geology Foundation (WTGF) board member Emily Emerald to honor Hardt with a $5,000 award and the prestigious Most Outstanding Science Teacher (MOST) award. WTGF also presented Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓÆµ with a plaque in recognition of its support of Hardt’s work and commitment to science education.
Globe Film Festival Returns January 30–31, 2026
The Globe Film Festival is set to return to The Globe Theatre on January 30 and 31, 2026, and organizers are now seeking submissions of original short films. The festival invites filmmakers of all experience levels to showcase creative stories that reflect the spirit, people, places, and culture of West Texas. As a community-centered event hosted by the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓÆµ Theater Department, the Globe Film Festival encourages authentic storytelling over technical polish.
Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓÆµ Extends Deadline for Jackrabbit Statue Redesign Submissions
Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓÆµ has extended the deadline for artist submissions to redesign and repaint the college’s iconic 6-foot Jackrabbit statue. Artists now have until Monday, January 12, at 11:59 p.m. to submit proposals for this public art opportunity.
Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓÆµ to Observe Special Holiday Hours
Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓÆµ, along with the Andrews, Monahans, and Pecos extension centers, will operate on a late-start schedule during the weeks of December 15–19 and January 5–9.
OC Honors Graduates at Three Commencement Ceremonies
Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓÆµ will honor and celebrate its 2025 Fall graduates at three commencement ceremonies on Friday and Saturday, December 12 and 13 at the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓÆµ Sports Center main gymnasium.
